When you enter our office, you’ll be greeted by our friendly front desk technician. We’re glad that you’ve chosen us and will respect your schedule by seeing you promptly.
Your First Visit
You’ll be escorted to a private room to fill out your new patient forms. Please plan on spending about 30 minutes to an hour with us on your first appointment.
Then, you’ll meet your chiropractor for a consultation about your problem. The next step is to have an examination, which consists of scientifically proven procedures such as
- Palpation, Posture and Range of Motion Assessments
- Surface electromyography
- Thermography
- Leg length analysis
Your Report of Findings
Your chiropractor will sit down to relate your exam findings to you. He will outline our recommendations for your specific problem. If you are ready to begin care, you will get your first chiropractic adjustment.

At Shoreline Chiropractic, we use advanced, non-invasive technology to evaluate the health and function of your nervous system. These computerized assessments provide valuable information that, along with your health history and examination findings, helps us better understand how your body is functioning and track your progress throughout care.
Surface Electromyography (sEMG)
- Measures muscle activity and tension by evaluating the electrical signals in your muscles.
- Identifies muscle imbalances, tension patterns, and areas that may be affected by nerve interference.
- Provides objective information to help guide your personalized care plan and monitor improvements over time.
Thermal Scan
- Measures temperature patterns along the spine to assess nervous system function.
- Detects temperature asymmetries that may indicate changes in autonomic nerve activity.
- Includes an easy-to-understand color report, allowing you to see your results and monitor changes as your care progresses.
Ongoing Visits
For each adjustment, you’ll lie face down on the table. Your doctor will evaluate you for spinal misalignments that are affecting your condition and make the appropriate adjustments.
Our office is very efficient and is always running on schedule and you can expect a typical office visit to last approximately 5-10 minutes from the time you enter the office to the time you leave.
Financial Information
Our front desk tech will give you an overview of our office policies and procedures as well as our financial agreement so you will feel at home in the office. We will be happy to verify and help make sense of any insurance benefits that you may have so you will know what to expect as far as your financial responsibility will be for your care plan.
